What ArcSift does
- Choose a Ren'Py game folder and extract its archives without switching to a terminal.
- Decompile compiled scripts into
.rpyfiles. Existing scripts are only overwritten if you choose to back them up and replace them. - Install local add-ons and extract translation text when your game supports it. View command and file-action output in the Log.
Compatibility
ArcSift requires macOS 26.0 or later. Select a Ren'Py game folder containing a game directory, or a macOS .app bundle.
It detects .rpa, .rwa, .svac, and .jas archives and .rpyc scripts. Not every archive variant can be extracted; errors appear in the Log.
What happens to my files?
Existing .rpy scripts are left alone by default. If you choose to overwrite them, ArcSift saves each existing script as .rpy.org first. If that backup already exists, ArcSift skips the overwrite.
After successful extraction, ArcSift renames the original archive with a .org suffix by default, unless that name already exists. You can choose to keep or delete the archive instead.

Is the download a free trial?
The download is public, but the tools require a purchased license; there is no unlocked trial. Polar shows your final total at checkout.
Where do I get my license key?
The license key arrives in your Polar purchase email. Enter it in ArcSift; the first activation needs an internet connection.
Can I use ArcSift offline?
After a successful license check, a valid license works offline for up to seven days. Connect again to re-verify it after that.
